Director of Human Resources at ALCOM LLC
Overview
Directs and manages all site operations with overall responsibility for Production, Facilities, Quality Control, Material Management, HR, and Logistics. Supports all operational directives to ensure a quality product is produced on time and within established budgets.
Responsibilities
- Production planning, scheduling, and sequencing of line build schedules.
- Involvement with daily ongoing review, including 1 week, 3-day, next day, and daily adjustments relative to available materials and labor requirements.
- Employee communications
- Maintain a shop floor presence and participate in scheduled communications, including weekly planning with production management and line supervisors, daily meetings to review attendance, line setup, materials needs, labor plans, and potential short-term adjustments; keep discussions positive and productive.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with key personnel and establish informal "go-to" or working lead contacts.
- Support active and unobstructed employee engagement.
- Allow Supervisors and Production Managers to speak for themselves and actively listen.
- Support production lines to ensure success; remove roadblocks to meet budgeted requirements.
- Implement Lean initiatives and support continuous improvements.
- Accountable for meeting financial targets, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability; actively track and control all aspects of the plant's budget and use data-driven decisions to improve financial performance.
General Functions
Lead the plant's financial performance by managing P&L to ensure profitability and cost control; coordinate with Finance to develop forecasts and budgets; align operations with financial objectives.Coordinate plant activities with Production Managers and Line Supervisors to meet manufacturing objectives promptly, cost-effectively, and safely; balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale.Participate in forecasting and budgeting for the plant.Analyze, recommend, and implement cost-control and efficiency-improvement measures; recommend capital improvements.Manage employee performance by setting expectations and goals, coaching direct reports, and partnering with HR to manage employees within policies.Establish and monitor plant performance for production and quality standards; prioritize quality throughout the facility.Foster a safe working environment and ensure safety policies are followed.Perform other related duties to meet goals and objectives.Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.Strong leadership and coaching skills.Technology aptitude, including data analytics, ERP systems, and automation tools.Experience in a leadership role within a growing company is preferred.Quality management system experience is helpful.MRP and solid computer experience desired.5 or more years of manufacturing experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
