Start your day excited to make a difference and end it knowing you did! We are seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to join our team at Mary Washington Healthcare in Saint Charles. This PRN position offers the flexibility you need while making a significant impact on patient care.

What You'll Do

  • Direct and coordinate nursing care, overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel.
  • Engage patients, families, and health team members in care planning and discharge processes.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient care plans.
  • Assist in defining standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Orient new staff members and act as a point of contact for hospital policies.
  • Contribute to daily operational activities ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide input to the Nurse Manager on unit needs and participate in committees for policy formulation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least one year of experience in the Operating Room required.
  • Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
  • BSN preferred.
  • AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
