Director of Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Engineering
Base pay range : $120,000.00 / hr - $180,000.00 / hr

What you'll own
- Leadership of the engineering function—strategy, people, process, and performance.
- Customer collaboration to design, prototype, and program new products.
- Creation of process documentation and production-ready handoffs.
- Continuous improvement across existing product lines and manufacturing efficiency.
- Hands-on design / programming using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and GibbsCAM.
- Rapid resolution of design-related production issues.
- Cross-functional partnership to deliver on product launch and throughput goals.
- Coaching, developing, and supervising a high-performing engineering team.
- Compliance leadership for safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Use of Global Shop ERP for documentation, training, and operational visibility.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.Demonstrated success in project management and mechanical design engineering.Proven people leadership with a track record of mentoring high-performing teams.Independence and prioritization skills—manage deadlines and multiple workstreams.Creative problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; strong mechanical systems troubleshooting.Experience writing product specifications and technical documentation.Knowledge of materials, motion control, and power transmission.Hands-on assembly and testing of mechanical systems.Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline.Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.Background in aerospace, defense, or marine environments.Compensation & benefits
Base salary range : $120,000–$180,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary within, above, or below this range based on education, training, experience, achievements, business needs, and location.
