Mechanical Design Engineer Manager

Overview

The Mechanical Design Engineer Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mechanical design team. This position will directly interface with other leadership members of the company, and will serve as the subject matter expert to their team in the mechanical design field. Further, this role will be expected to assist and participate in the design process of Company projects, which are large metal enclosures.

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee the Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Provide managerial insight to the Mechanical Design team, serving as the subject matter expert on the field and company projects.
• Manage the Mechanical Design Engineers workload and project schedules.
• Participate in company leadership meetings as needed to provide updates and insight on the Mechanical Design team.
• Participate in project work, creating 2D and 3D mechanical design plans for prefabricated enclosures. Details of the prefabricated enclosures encompass structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and communication systems including, duct systems, piping systems, mechanical equipment and electrical equipment using AutoCAD and Solid Works computer software.
