Library Information Specialist – Circulation, Part-time Late Night – University Libraries, 53493
Overview
This .40 FTE position works in the Circulation Services Department and reports to the SR Library Information Specialist Lead Evening / Weekend Supervisor. It is responsible for closing the library Saturday through Wednesday during the two academic semesters and Sunday through Wednesday during the eight-week summer session. The position provides circulation assistance and basic reference help and works shifts at the service desk. This position does not work between academic terms.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Shift
This position is responsible for closing the library and the Circulation Services Department during the two academic semesters, with hours Sunday through Wednesday evenings and 20 hours per week for 17 weeks per semester. Fall semester : mid-August to mid-December; Spring semester : mid-January to mid-May. Also closes during the eight-week summer session, Sunday through Wednesday 6 : 00 PM – 10 : 15 PM (17 hours per week). Summer session runs early June to end of July. Position may be required to cover occasional other shifts in the absence of other employees. Not scheduled during weeks between semesters / sessions (e.g., December / January, May, August).
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Compensation
Anticipated starting salary from $16.05 per hour to $17.50 per hour, commensurate with education and experience, in consideration with internal equity.
