Job OverviewA law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney - EOIR for a remote position with in-person court appearances. The attorney will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.DutiesExplain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.Represent individuals in removal proceedings at Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage a workload of diverse cases.Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.Review and adjust immigration applications / packets.Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients.Develop strategies and prepare clients / witnesses for court / USCIS testimony.Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.Requirements1-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.Team player with strong interpersonal skills.Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) degree.CertificationsAdmitted to practice law.SkillsStrong legal analysis and strategic planning abilities.Excellent communication and client interaction skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance.Catered lunches.401k plan.Paid parking.Paid time off.
