Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through various delegated basic patient care services. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist in providing care and maintaining a safe and organized environment for patients.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Implement nursing care plans by providing direct and indirect patient care.
  • Record initial and ongoing patient information, including vital signs and intake / output data.
  • Assist patients with mobility and activities of daily living, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Collect specimens for diagnostic tests and ensure proper labeling.
  • Serve as the Monitor / Telemetry Tech as needed.
  • Engage in best practices that enhance patient experiences.

    • Qualifications :

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • CNA certification in Virginia preferred, or completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
  • Prior experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
