Overview : HGA is Hiring : Mechanical Engineer with Central Utility Plant Expertise! Bring your talented, design-sensitive, and ambitious expertise to HGA, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, and design firm.

Responsibilities :

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for HVAC engineering design, including calculating heating and cooling loads, selecting equipment, laying out duct and piping, creating and editing project details, and writing and editing project engineering specifications. You will also lead client management and team coordination, participate in design review meetings and workshops, resolve complex design challenges, research design options, and assure drawings and designs are in accordance with local codes and design standards.

Requirements :

We are seeking experienced professionals with a strong consulting engineering background, particularly in Central Utility Plant design and steam systems. You should have expert knowledge of applicable codes and regulations, extensive understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures, and proven problem-solving skills. A B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering and 8 years of consulting engineering experience are required.
