American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for day shifts, requiring a minimum of 2 years' experience in cardiac / vascular labs and ARRT(R), BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital-based position in an Interventional Radiology department covering both vascular and neurointerventional proceduresHandles adult patient population with a focus on both vascular and neuro casesProficiency in two or more IR specialties required as defined by the departmentProcedures include cerebral angiography, coiling, kyphoplasty, spine interventions, stroke therapy, and carotid stentingMonitors and interprets hemodynamic monitoring and patient ECGsUtilizes specialized IR equipment and maintains sterile technique throughout proceduresUses a 4x10 hour day shift schedule with required participation in late shifts and call coverageOn-call required 1-2 times per week and every third or fourth weekend, with possible holiday call and a 30-minute callback timePrimary responsibilities include procedure preparation, sterile supply assembly, monitoring patient vital signs, and documenting all procedures accuratelyActs as laboratory code team and assists with cardiac emergencies under physician supervisionMaintains confidentiality of patient and unit information and assists with inventory managementParticipates in staff and student instruction and ongoing departmental educationCall coverage includes possible holiday shifts; scrubs are providedNo local travelers accepted; candidates must have a driver’s license address outside 50 milesFormer perm or travel employees must have a 2-year gap before returningCandidates are interviewed directly with a unit manager\n \n Requirements\n
Current ARRT(R) and BLS certifications requiredAt least 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac or vascular interventional labStrong proficiency in neuroradiology and vascular interventional radiology procedures preferredExperience with hemodynamic monitoring, vascular, and neuro cases such as cerebral / coiling, kyphoplasty, spine interventions, stroke therapy, and carotid stentingMust be eligible to work at least 50 miles from the facilityRadiation badge must be provided by the traveler agencyLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
