Overview
Senior Construction Manager - Data Centers at Exyte. The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for the execution of the construction phase of a project, ensuring site safety according to the safety plan, maintaining daily progress, monitoring installation quality, and communicating with Project Managers. This role acts as the Company's representative with vendors, subcontractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders. The position requires adapting to unique daily challenges and keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Champions Safety, Quality, Regulatory Compliance and The Collaborative Way
- Communicate and uphold safety culture and safety policies and procedures throughout the project
- Work with Procurement on scope of work development and the solicitation and pre-qualification of Subcontractors and Suppliers; perform technical evaluations of bid proposals and own overall scope
- Prepare and manage construction schedule and daily planning of work
- Understand Subcontractor scope of work, Subcontract Agreements, and Design Documents to own construction execution on time and within budget
- Review and approve subcontract pay applications
- Coordinate with Quality Control and Document Control to ensure timely review of shop drawings and required submittals
- Coordinate submittals and RFIs with Field Engineer or responsible design professionals; recommend solutions to issues
- Document and manage changes in scope of work; capture and communicate schedule, quality, or cost impacts
- Ensure quality is upheld daily; generate and complete punch lists in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the Client and their representatives
- Monitor the training of all Construction staff
- Promote positive staff morale and professionalism; assist in resolving deficiencies
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Enforce company project processes, procedures, and policies
- Ensure Project Controls keep Contract Documents up-to-date with revised drawings, addenda, and Change Orders
- Maintain all project closeout documentation, including as-builts
- Assist in preparing project status reports
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferredOSHA 10 required / OSHA 30 preferred5+ years as a Senior Project Manager or 20+ years of construction experienceExperience in Data Center construction is requiredManagement experience within the construction industryConstruction Project Management experience requiredAbility to communicate technical material to technical stakeholders and to a non-technical audienceNon-Solicitation
