Subsurface Utility Technician / SUE Technician - (Mid-Level)

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

• Obtain a clear understanding of ASCE 38-02 standards and Quality Levels and their applications
• Provide underground utility flagging “designation” with proficiency, utilizing ground penetrating radar and electromagnet equipment and other geophysical means.
• Designate all utility line types of conductive or non-conductive materials including water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC, and all other underground facilities that would affect excavation of a site
• Mark said utilities with flags and / or paint and produce a sketch of results for future use by the client.
• Operate vacuum excavation truck and other related equipment or “hand dig” to verify utility characteristics.
• Assist with maintenance of vehicles / trucks, equipment, and work sites.
• Research all utilities that may be on a site prior to entering the site.
• Exercise extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety practices
