The SATCOM Engineer is a hands-on engineering position that helps keep MEG and the IBS Program on the leading edge of over-the-air (OTA) satellite communications (SATCOM) technology. The SATCOM Engineer will provide information on upcoming changes to Integrated Waveform (IW) systems and how those modifications will impact the Common Interactive Broadcast (CIB). The duties and functions for this position include but are not limited to :

• Support IW system as IW Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide IW training materials for IBS team, to include the Global IBS Support Center (GIBSSC) Watch, Combatant Command (CCMD) Information Management Element (IME), and Common Interactive Broadcast (CIB) SMEs.
• Manage the CIB related Military Standards (MIL-STD) and coordinate changes with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
• Perform as the lead engineer for Transmission Security (TRANSEC) implementation.
• Provide Tier 3 Support, troubleshooting and developing long-term resolutions supporting broadcast engineering and network interface team specializing in IW.
• Provide engineering and SATCOM expertise in support of Polar architectures.
