Travel Nursing Job Details – Med / Surg RN Job Title : Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Location : Urbana, Illinois 61801 (Illinois nursing jobs) Start Date : October 6, 2025 End Date : January 3, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day shift, 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM (12-hour shifts) Hours per Week : 36 (3x12 hour shifts) Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Estimated Weekly Pay : $2000 - $2050 Med / Surg RN Qualifications At least one (1) year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience Experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital required Ability to float to related Med / Surg units, including Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in Medical-Surgical and related inpatient units Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Implement and adjust nursing interventions based on patient evaluation Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and clinical procedures Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting hazards Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare team members Float to Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units as needed Precept and mentor nursing staff from various clinical units Complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as required Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals Apply now to join our healthcare team in Urbana, Illinois and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
