Overview
Intertek Caleb Brett is seeking an entry-level Petroleum Inspector to join our Cincinnati, OH facility. This position requires travel up to 75% of the time and offers opportunities to grow a versatile career in the Inspection and Testing business.
What you'll do
- Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures
- Perform volume measurements, temperature measurements, sampling, documentation and reporting to provide an independent, accurate assessment of quantity and quality
- Conduct visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges and ships
- Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred via rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges and ships
- Perform routine equipment calibrations, verification and function checks
- Verify and communicate results and record entries into the appropriate media
- Provide on-the-job assistance and receive training from more experienced inspectors
- Coordinate with terminal, transport and company personnel to promote smooth operations
- Monitor availability of supplies and communicate needs to the Dispatcher or Coordinator
- Organize and coordinate jobs to ensure timely service delivery, reporting and sample submission
- Maintain clean, organized, and functional work areas and equipment
- Ensure data validity and traceability in print or electronic media
- Model Intertek's 10X Energies and adhere to safety practices and policies
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
