As an Assistant Engineer, you will apply your unique skills and insights as part of teams that span the South-Central Region and across the United States.
The position includes delivering public sector water and wastewater facilities planning and design projects. In your role you will support projects as a critical part of the design team, a design lead, and / or a task manager. You may be assisted by other technicians and engineers, and may supervise and direct work of drafters, designers, and technicians. You will prepare facility assessment and design reports, perform design calculations, perform process and / or hydraulic modeling, select and size equipment, prepare design documents and construction documents, support construction phase services both in office and in the field. Field work and site visits from planning through construction may require occasional travel. You will be supported by multiple mentors on projects and local office leadership.

Key Responsibilities :
Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reportsManage data for process modeling and designAttend client and internal project management meetingsCoordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipmentSupport multiple projects from planning through constructionParticipate in fieldwork and site visits (mostly in-state)Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineeringStrong interest in the water / wastewater industryStrong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detailMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite0-2 years of relevant experience within the water / wastewater industryPreferred Qualifications :
EIT certificationAdvanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineeringConducts self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA / QCWhat We Offer :
