Job Title : Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. The role involves handling warehouse duties such as order picking, packing, and stowing, ensuring that orders for major department channels are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Candidates must be flexible with working hours, including weekends and overtime, as we are currently experiencing high volume.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse duties such as picking orders, receiving and stowing products, and loading / unloading trailers.
• Fulfill orders for major department channels like Walmart, Amazon, and Costco accurately and with high quality to prevent damage.
• Ensure shipments are loaded and received on the correct trucks within assigned deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Stand and walk continuously in a warehouse environment throughout an 8-hour day or more.
• Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach to stack, carry, lift, and pick products.
• Continuously lift 20 lbs, frequently lift 25-40 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs or more.
• Frequently stack pallets and totes (20-50 lbs) up to 6 feet tall.
• Lift above the shoulders frequently.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced distribution center. Candidates are expected to be actively engaged in tasks at all times. The environment requires flexibility for overtime and weekend work as needed. Safety and teamwork are key components of our work culture.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00 / hr.
