Cadworx Designer

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for an Experienced Cadworx Designer for our Natural Gas team in Harrisburg, PA. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

The person in this position will make and quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform some multifaceted calculations

Develop intelligent 3D models of piping, steel, and equipment layouts using CADWorx and AutoCAD Plant 3D

Generate PFDs, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and modular skid designs

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and industry standards

Perform design reviews and redlining using CADWorx Design Review Professional

Maintain drawing / database connectivity and ensure synchronization between project databases and drawings

Identify and resolve potential design conflicts, including utility clashes and installation constraints

Perform quality control checks and provide feedback to team members

Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks

Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes

Maintains drawing database

May supervise and train CAD staff

Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

High School Degree (Preferred Associates Degree (or higher) with emphasis on Drafting and Design Technology from an accredited technical institution or college in engineering)

3+ years experience in CadworxPlant Professional for piping and equipment modeling

Must be proficient in using AutoCAD and Bluebeam

Strong understanding of piping layout standards and construction practices

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and tasks

Experience in creating CAD tools and symbol databases
