The Designer II is responsible for providing support and maintenance of current product design and documentation. The position reviews bom's, designs components and subsystems and collaborates with engineers to create models, drawings, sub-assemblies and specifications in support of assigned design work. The Designer II participates in the product definition from scope of work to detailed specification, in DFMEA activities and performs analysis, tolerance stacks, basic stress and strain as well as fit and form checks of components to ensure proper function and appropriate definition is provided.

The Designer II reports to an Engineering Supervisor and / or Manager and requires moderate supervision.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Associate's Degree in Design or equivalent work experience
• 3 years of new product design for engine / motor driven machinery, equipment or powered tools
• 3 years of CAD system use
