About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support both the Project Manager and Superintendent on a major college project in Long Beach . This role is ideal for someone with a couple of years of experience in the field who is ready to take on more responsibility and grow into a management track role.
You will work closely with operations and field leadership to ensure the project is executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the companys quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Manager and Superintendent in all phases of construction
- Prepare, review, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Assist with schedule updates, document control, and progress tracking
- Conduct site walks and participate in jobsite meetings
- Maintain accurate project documentation and logs
- Monitor project costs, labor reports, and material tracking
- Help ensure compliance with DSA, public works, and safety requirements
- Support closeout process including O&M manuals and as-built documentation
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Engineer roleExperience working on public works or DSA projects preferredStrong understanding of construction documentation and processesProficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication and teamwork skillsDetail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindsetWhy Join Us
