UT Health East Texas is comprised of 9 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. We provide healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service.Responsibilities
Maintain acceptable ACD (automated call distribution) call statisticsDemonstrate proficiency and skill in call control and call steerage.Understand and take appropriate intervention for call queue management at an agent level.Accurately performs the transferring of customers to the appropriate areas.Accurately perform call distribution and effectively execute paging and messaging servicesAccurately perform data entry at time of call using appropriate call center software systemsEffectively distributes patient emailMaintains a constructive working relationship with clients, physician offices, co-workers, supervisors and others as neededParticipates in department in-services and meetingsAdheres to the policies and procedures of the organization and the call centerMaintains confidentiality of all interactionsMaintains a clean, efficient work areaBecomes knowledgeable about call center office equipmentOther duties as requestedQualifications
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Job Requirements
Two (2) years of collegeBasic typing skills of 35 wpmKnowledge of basic medical terminology
