Overview
Commercial Lines Account Manager (Fully Remote) at Insurance Office of America. Role manages a book of business, retains accounts, supports new business, coordinates administrative and customer service activities, resolves complex issues, and ensures accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned book of business to support retention and growth; coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities; resolve complex issues with minimal errors.
- Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
- Direct daily activities of the account management team.
- Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
- Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
- Monitor accounts receivable and address delinquent balances.
- Maintain agency management systems and carrier / vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
- Maintain timely communication with the account team; monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion.
- Deliver proactive, high-quality service and respond quickly to service requests.
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures; seek continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate IOA values.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industryThorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needsActive property & casualty license required; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skillsProficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)High school diploma or equivalentWhat We Offer

The expected pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, depending on experience, relevant skills, and geographic location.
