Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Vaccine Response Team in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will assist with situations such as restraining individuals when needed. This role also involves providing outstanding customer service and clear communication, while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and people-first care. Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeTue07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PMSun03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for all individuals in the healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any unusual conditions or concerns.
  • Document and report all incidents or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and help to monitor entrances and exits as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Support emergency response efforts by providing information and assistance to first responders and / or site personnel as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment, including areas such as the morgue, and be able to safely restrain individuals as needed.
  • Vaccinations required as per hospital protocols.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
