We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Property Accountant to join our finance team.

Position Overview

Senior Property Accountant will assist in managing the financial operations of our property portfolio. This role involves supporting the Accounting Manager and the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining the financial health of our properties. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for real estate accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable and Receivable : Process and manage invoices, payments, and receipts related to property operations. Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and collection of rent.
• Bank Reconciliation : Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
• General Ledger Maintenance : Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial statements.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for individual properties and the overall portfolio.
• Lease Administration : Review and verify lease agreements, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with lease terms.
• Property Management Systems : Utilize property management software / ERP (Fortress / Sage) to track financial transactions, generate reports, and maintain up-to-date records. Experience with Sage is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Compliance and Documentation : Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements. Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and records.
• Audit Support : Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
