Activity Assistant | Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation | Kingston Care Center of Fort Wayne, IN

Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible Scheduling

Kingston Care Center of Fort Wayne is hiring Activity Assistants to help plan and lead engaging programs for our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation community. From seasonal crafts and holiday celebrations to exercise groups, games, music, and one-on-one visits, you’ll play a vital role in supporting residents’ emotional, physical, and social well-being.

What You’ll Do

Assist with planning, coordinating, and leading daily activities and special events

Encourage residents to participate in recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs

Provide one-on-one support for residents who benefit from individualized engagement

Help organize seasonal activities, holiday events, and themed programs that build community spirit

Maintain activity spaces, supplies, and accurate participation records

Collaborate with the Activities Director, therapy staff, and care team to ensure meaningful resident engagement

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare preferred, but training will be provided

Outgoing, creative, and enthusiastic personality

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented approach

Ability to adapt activities for residents with varying interests and abilities
