SUMMARY : The Project Director is responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing the operations of Workforce Solutions region. This position requires extensive experience in workforce development, particularly with managing federally funded programs and One-Stop operations. The Director ensures excellence in service delivery to employers, job seekers, and community stakeholders, and aligns operations with local Workforce Development Board (Board), Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), and federal WIOA requirements. The Director drives performance, compliance, and innovation across workforce programs and builds strong partnerships to meet regional economic and workforce needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership & System Design

• Exercise advanced professional judgment and strategic decision-making to design, lead, and sustain a high-performing workforce development system in partnership with the local workforce development board, employers, elected officials, and state / federal agencies.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate innovative workforce solutions and operational strategies to achieve Board goals, meet funder requirements, and deliver measurable results for employers, job seekers, and students.
• Serve as the primary liaison and relationship manager for SERCO with the Texas Workforce Commission, Health and Human Services Commission, school districts, higher education institutions, community-based organizations, and other key stakeholders.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

1. Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and provide automobile liability insurance as required by the State of Texas.

2. Must have access to reliable transportation in order to make required visits.
