Job Title : Civil / Structural Engineer

Location : Must live within 4 hours of Glen Rose, TX. Position is remote and requires travel 1x / month for 2-4 days at a time.

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team at a nuclear facility in Texas. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to develop and manage structural engineering projects related to facility upgrades and modifications. You will lead in preparing technical documentation, conducting structural analyses, and contributing to engineering studies to enhance plant infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary structural engineering lead, overseeing the development of design documentation and coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Perform detailed structural analyses and technical assessments to support design efforts, including support systems for piping, cabling, and equipment; instrument rack configurations; load impact evaluations on concrete structures; anchorage assessments; and seismic performance reviews.
• Collaborate with site personnel to define project parameters, and provide engineering support throughout construction, implementation, and commissioning phases.
• Apply sound engineering judgment to resolve complex challenges, review peer work for accuracy and compliance, and align structural efforts with other technical disciplines.
• Contribute to project planning by generating estimates for materials, labor hours, and engineering / design timelines.

Work Environment

The position is located in Texas, with initial onsite work to understand the project and team dynamics, followed by flexible work arrangements. The work schedule follows a 4 / 10 format, allowing for every other Friday off, with travel required at least once a month. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $76.00 / hr.
