Job Description

As a Security Professional - Government Unarmed Patrols in Ridgeland, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, support access control, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding the values of Allied Universal. This is an unarmed, driving post, where your professionalism and commitment to teamwork will contribute to a secure and welcoming environment for all.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or access.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and location guidelines.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and / or credentials as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required, following all Allied Universal protocols.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance to employees, visitors, and the public as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
