ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN I

Overview

To assist with overseeing the overall physical security, locking devices, alarm and monitoring systems for all UAB buildings. To assist with the design, installation, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance of all alarm systems, card access systems, Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV), lock hardware and compliance level of electrical codes. To assist with the design, installation and maintenance of keying and security systems as needed. To maintain knowledge of current security devices and department related computer technology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical security, locking devices, alarm and monitoring systems for all UAB buildings.
• Assist with the design, installation, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance of alarm systems, card access systems, CCTV, lock hardware and compliance with electrical codes.
• Assist with the design, installation and maintenance of keying and security systems as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of current security devices and department related computer technology.
