Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Gastonia, North Carolina. As part of this contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable activities.

Responsibilities :

Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and alignment with organizational procedures.

Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and oversee check runs to maintain efficient payment operations.

Reconcile accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy in financial records and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper allocation and coding of expenses.

Generate reports related to accounts payable activities for management review.

Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.

Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues promptly.

Support the implementation of process improvements within the accounts payable function.

Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements :

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Strong knowledge of invoice coding and account reconciliation.

Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check processing.

Proficiency in managing vendor records and financial documentation.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
