Estimator / Preconstruction

Overview

Estimator / Preconstruction role for a commercial millwork and interiors project portfolio. This is a part-time opportunity intended for someone who wants to stay active in the industry while maintaining a balanced workload. Location : Stockbridge, GA. Pay range : $25-35 per hour, competitive salary based on experience, plus a year-end bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate project estimates.
• Conduct pre-bid site visits and collaborate with the project team to evaluate scope and conditions.
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and scope documents for bidding purposes.
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in preparing proposals, budgets, and bid submissions.
• Track and organize bid documents, addenda, and revisions throughout the preconstruction process.
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment between estimates and field conditions.
• Support strategic planning for project pipeline and geographic expansion.
• Perform other related duties as needed in the preconstruction phase.
