Location : Construction and Facilities Management Office, Camp Ashland Training Site, 220 County Road A, Ashland NE

Job Duties : Installs, alters, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains pipe systems and plumbing fixtures. Installs and maintains pipe systems located above, under, and on the ground; and in, on, and between walls, floors, and ceilings. Installs, alters, repairs, and maintains devices such as traps, vents, drains, siphons, and pumps integral to plumbing systems, meter fittings, couplings, and unions. Installs, alters, repairs, and maintains fire protection sprinkler systems, water treatment plants, and sewage plants. Adjusts and repairs steam pumps and regulators, water pumps and heaters, air compressors, and fuel storage tanks and pumping systems. Performs preventative maintenance inspections of plumbing fixtures and systems. Sketches plumbing layouts, reads and interprets blueprints and specifications. Estimates time, cost, and materials required for the completion of work orders, and orders materials. Other duties as assigned.

Starting hourly pay rate is $23.473.

Requirements / Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications : Training and experience in the plumbing trade.

Other : Background / motor vehicle request checks will be required prior to hire. Must have a valid driver's license.

Knowledge of the practices, materials, tools, equipment and techniques of the plumbing trade.

Skill in installing and repairing plumbing fixtures and systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layout designs and specifications.
