Overview
Systems Engineer II TSCEI Pascagoula Shipyard Onsite at Raytheon. This role is based at the on-site Pascagoula Mississippi office. U.S. citizenship and an active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance are required prior to start date.
What You Will Do
- Perform equipment installation, checkout, testing, reporting of results, hardware and firmware upgrades and maintain records as required.
- Upkeep and maintain the Ship's tactical network(s) and systems.
- Interact with Zumwalt shipbuilders and their vendors in a collaborative manner.
- Provide daily internal status reports to the TSCE lead.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Engineering and customer representatives.
- Provide underway system support for at-sea test events.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, to testing and activation locations (CA, HI, RI), including on-sea periods onboard Zumwalt class ships.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Experience with systems, software integration, and / or test.Experience with Linux, Unix and / or other programming languages.Ability to obtain and maintain an interim secret U.S. security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer
CLI level Linux system administration skills with RedHat and knowledge of Java, C, and / or C++ and Active Directory / Exchange administration is preferred.CISCO CCNA, Redhat OS, and Fiber Optic Certifications are highly desired.Prior experience working in shipyard environments.Current / Active DoD security clearance.What We Offer
