Health and Safety Manager

Reports to : Group Managing Director
Position Overview
The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and EPA regulations.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices and regulations.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics and compliance standards to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in line with Lean and ISO systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent are preferred.In-depth knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, EPA standards, and health and safety regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions for safety issues.Benefits
