UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is looking for a Physician Assistant to join our Orthocare Clinic. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited PA program. Current or Pending NYS license required. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned PA's with urgent care experience, as well as PA's new to Orthopaedics. All levels of experience are encouraged to apply, including current students and new grads.
Job Description
The Physician Assistant is responsible for promoting and maintaining health by providing quality medical services under the supervision of a Physician through the identification of short-term and long-range patient care issues and recommending options and course of action while implementing physician directives. This is a full time, exempt position in our Urgent Care Clinic (Orthocare). Responsibilities include patient screenings, and patient assessments within an urgent care setting. Candidates must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages performing typical urgent care procedures; suturing, wound repair, ortho splinting, casting, etc. Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience is a plus, but not required. The position requires a professional person with excellent clinical and communication skills who has the ability to work autonomously.

Qualifications
Master’s degree, along with successful completion of a NYS or ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program. Must Possess NYS licensure upon hire.
Background in orthopaedics and / or professional experience in outpatient orthopaedic environment preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must be able to multi-task and desire to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
