job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within a retail location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response activities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for any irregularities. Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or property damage, communicating findings promptly to management and / or appropriate authorities. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and guiding visitors as necessary. Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and addressing potential theft or policy violations according to established procedures. Collaborate with store staff and management to address concerns and provide guidance on security-related matters. Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site management. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Loss prevention experience is preferred. Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Possession of a guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Unarmed in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
