job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and professional manner, using problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the interior and exterior perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment. Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols. Work closely with location staff and management to support a welcoming and secure atmosphere for employees and customers. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal policies. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. As a Security Guard - Retail Patrols Unarmed Full-Time in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for customers and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills will support a positive experience for everyone at the location. Monday 11 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM
Tuesday 11 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM
Thursday 11 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM
Saturday 10 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
