Description : POSITION DESCRIPTION

TITLE : Tractor Operator – Okeechobee Waterway

DEPARTMENT : Community Contracts

DIVISION : Human Services

RESPONSIBLE TO : Project Manager – Okeechobee Waterway

SUPERVISES : No direct reports

FLSA STATUS : Non-exempt

JOB CODE : HHS11-04

SCOPE :

Perform functions to drive gasoline or diesel powered tractor to : move materials, draw implements, tow-trailers, pull out objects embedded in ground, or pull cable of which to raise, lower or load heavy material or equipment; and contribute to the mission of Goodwill by maximizing the opportunities for participants with disabilities and other barriers to become more independent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Operate tractor in a safe and efficient manner in order to fulfill scheduled duties.
• Perform daily maintenance inspection and service to tractor.
• Fasten attachments, such as mowers, graders, plows, seeders and disc harrows to tractor.
• Ensure actions and words communicate superior internal and external customer service.
• Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed.
