What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Responsibilities
- Drive the IT strategy and as it relates to the Med Global Planning applications (Kinaxis / Talend).
- Fully understand functional and technical capabilities of the Planning applications as well as needs of users and business processes.
- Manage deployment of project related deliveries as well as enhancement requests for Global Planning applications
- Participate in project related work as required. Represent Planning applications on project related work from both a functional and development perspective as required.
- Build a strong working relationship with the Planning IT team members as well as the Kinaxis COE team members.
- Gather requirements of end-user community for enhancements and work with team members to develop standard, harmonized requirements.
- Manage issues, document, escalate as appropriate and ensure resolution.
- Develop and implement Kinaxis and Talend resources to support both project and run related enhancements.
- Develop and deliver training for improvements / enhancements to super users and team members as required.
- Document test results and solutions and support CAH change management process as required.
- Coordinate testing, data validation and planner data input with business users during system deployments
- Anticipate future needs of business partners and CAH system needs. Initiate activities to close gaps and meet future needs before issues arise.
Qualifications
8-12 years of experience, preferredBachelor\'s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredKnowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory and related business processes preferredKinaxis Maestro functional and development experience requiredTalend development experience requiredRelational database and SQL skills required. Oracle or Access database experience a plusData analysis and scripting skills requiredAlteryx development experience preferredLinux / Unix skills preferredSAP APO, ECC or S4 experience preferredAbility to grasp complex issues, even in circumstances where there is incomplete or conflicting information, or conflicting views expressed by those involvedAbility to steer stakeholders towards a common goal and reach consensus.Excellent communication skills, oral and writtenAbility to work autonomously in an international contextWhat is expected of you and others at this level
