The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, administration and oversight of Macon-Bibb County's multi-server environment including but not limited to cloud-based implementations. The System Administrator will be instrumental in driving and adhering to the tactical plans set forth, ensuring a resilient infrastructure, and upholding confidentiality, integrity, and availability across the organization.

The Systems Administrator should possess, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent field, and at least 4 years of progressive system and network experience; an Associate's degree in similar course work and 6 years of progressive system and network experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
The Systems Administrator must be knowledgeable of the following principles, procedures, and concepts :
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Possession of a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
None.
TRAVEL :
The Systems Administrator is required to travel minimally but may be required to do so on occasion.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :
