Sr. Accountant

Accountant Contract Position

We are looking for an accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong expertise in financial reconciliations and accounting processes. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting month-end close activities.

Responsibilities :

• Perform detailed account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, monitoring transactions and resolving any inconsistencies.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Post journal entries and adjust entries as needed to align with financial objectives.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze and organize financial data.
• Lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and audits.
• Apply knowledge of non-profit accounting practices to specific organizational requirements.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
