Senior Digital Hardware Designer

Overview

Acara Solutions is seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Designer to join our client's team supporting advanced defense and intelligence systems. This role focuses on the design, development, and testing of complex electronic systems—including radar, communications, and digital signal processing equipment—critical to national security missions.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and test digital hardware systems and components (PCBs, processors, FPGAs, SoCs).
• Develop innovative, integrated solutions to meet evolving customer needs.
• Lead schematic capture and multi-layer PCB design with controlled impedance and blind / micro-vias.
• Conduct signal integrity and crosstalk analysis, stress / worst-case analysis, and high-reliability design reviews.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver mission-critical systems.
