• Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and evaluations in line with ANA's Public Health Nursing Standards.\n
• Arrange and lead community health clinics and health education classes.\n
• Support public health core functions, prioritizing services that meet community needs.\n
• Administer adult and child vaccines, provide STI / HIV testing, manage TB testing, and more.\n
• Provide Ryan White case management, maternal and child home visitation, lactation counseling, and LT-101 reviews.\n
• Collaborate with the nurse manager and public health response coordinator on emergency preparedness activities.\n\nPREFERENCES /
• AGENCY REQUIREMENTS : \n
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.\n
• Driver's license required.\n\nKNOWLEDGE : \n
• Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing.\n
• Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations.\n
• Knowledge of principles of nursing process and scientific process.\n
• Knowledge of applying medical diagnosis and treatment to patient care.\n
• Knowledge of scientific concepts as a basis for decision-making.\n
• Knowledge of physical, biological, and behavioral sciences.\n
• Knowledge of evaluation services and programs according to standards.\n
• Knowledge of work management and leadership theory and practice.\n
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local law pertaining to healthcare.\n
• Knowledge of public health core functions and essential services.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : \n\nEducation : Associate's Degree in Nursing\n\nExperience : \n0-2 years of progressive work experience in Nursing with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN\n\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations : Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming\n\nOR\n\nEducation & Experience Substitution : \n3-5 years of progressive work experience Nursing with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN\n\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations : \nMust be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming\n\nPHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : \n\nMust be able to : \n
• Lift / transfer patients to different positions.\n
• Lift medical / patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs.\n
• Restrain clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, and drive long distances.\n
• Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested.\n
• Work evenings, nights, and / or weekends when the situation requires it.\n\nNOTES : \n
