- Provides professional nursing services in chronic as well as acute care settings.\n
- Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.\n
- Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.\n
- Assists with ADL (Activities of Daily Living).\n
- Trains and assigns work to LPNs and CNAs.\n\nKNOWLEDGE : \n
- Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, techniques of professional nursing, and Standards of Nursing Practice.\n
- Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations.\n
- Knowledge of medication administration and mathematical calculations for the correct dosage.\n
- Knowledge of the aging process, medical problems, diseases, and behavioral issues.\n
- Knowledge of work management and leadership theory and practice.\n
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare.\n
- Knowledge of the ability to function and make decisions in high-stress situations.\n
- Knowledge of good oral and written communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical terminology.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : \n\nEducation : \nBachelor's Degree (typically in Nursing)\n\nExperience : \n0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations : \nMust be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.\n\nOR\nEducation & Experience Substitution : \n3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations : \nMust be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.\n\nPHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : \n
- Lift / transfer persons in our care to different positions.\n
- Lift persons and / or medical equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about fifty (50) lbs.\n
- Work holidays, evenings, nights, and / or weekends as scheduled.\n\nNOTES : \n

- For the health and protection of the persons in our care, annual influenza vaccination and annual testing for tuberculosis are required.\n
