Facility Support Aide (Maintenance)

Community Action Agency of St. Louis County is seeking a Facility Support Aide. In this position, you'll perform general maintenance and repairs for Agency building, grounds, equipment and vehicles; and schedule, maintain and keep records of scheduled maintenance on vehicles on vehicles and building systems. This position requires the person to work in various weather conditions, from hot to cold and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities include :

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Agency buildings, grounds and equipment
• General maintenance work, including painting and carpentry
• Maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
• Repair or manage the repair of windows, doors and locks.
• Perform minor HVAC and plumbing repairs.
• Maintain and clean the food pantry.
• Perform agency related pickups from the Food Bank and other sites.
• Maintain agency vehicles, including cleaning, general maintenance, and scheduling repairs.
• Perform outside duties, including snow removal, cleaning parking lot, landscaping and maintaining trees and plants.
• Perform pest control duties, such as spraying insecticide and items necessary to meet standards for the food pantry.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checklists and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of materials for Agency events.
• Obtain estimates for parts and equipment.
• Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
