Founded in 1983, the Spondylitis Association of America (SAA) is the first and largest nonprofit in the U.S. dedicated to spondyloarthritis—a group of inflammatory diseases that primarily affect the spine and joints. With over 3.2 million Americans impacted, SAA provides trusted resources, education, advocacy, and support for patients and their families. We lead efforts in research and awareness, ensuring no one faces spondylitis alone. For over 40 years, we’ve focused on just one type of arthritis—yours.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Virtual Data Entry Typist to join our team. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for entering and updating data into our systems with accuracy and efficiency. No in-office work is required, and full training will be provided.
Responsibilities :
Enter and update data accurately in databases, spreadsheets, or systems
Verify and correct data before inputting
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Follow instructions and complete tasks on time
Organize and store digital files properly
Communicate with team members via email or chat, as needed
Requirements
Basic computer skills (typing, internet browsing, email)
Ability to type at least 35 words per minute
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable internet connection and a computer or laptop
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
No prior experience required (training provided)

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in public health, nonprofit management, social sciences, communications, or related field. 2+ years of experience in program coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and online project management tools (e.g. Trello, Asana). Experience with email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact) is a plus. Understanding of chronic illness, autoimmune disease, or patient advocacy is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote or hybrid team.
