Overview
Temporary Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator role at KPMG US for a nine-month assignment within the Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a temporary position seeking an engineer to administer and support enterprise server infrastructure hosting applications on Windows and Linux.
Responsibilities
- Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications on Windows and Linux
- Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure; install and test new enterprise system software and hardware releases
- Work directly with users to prioritize requests and keep users informed of progress and estimated delivery timeframes
- Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of project documentation including design, configuration, and installation
- Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management; provide production support including on-call, off-hours and weekend support
Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience in a large enterprise environment with hands-on experience in Windows Server and Linux; familiarity with SANsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferredProficiency with Microsoft technologies including IIS, Microsoft Cluster Service, Certificates and PowerShell; experience with VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS; strong troubleshooting using Windows OS tools (Event Logs, Perfmon, NetSH, PowerShell)Ability to automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python; experience deploying software across serversExperience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, ServiceNow is a plusMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the futureBenefits and Employment Details
