Temporary Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator

Overview

Temporary Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator role at KPMG US for a nine-month assignment within the Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a temporary position seeking an engineer to administer and support enterprise server infrastructure hosting applications on Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications on Windows and Linux
• Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure; install and test new enterprise system software and hardware releases
• Work directly with users to prioritize requests and keep users informed of progress and estimated delivery timeframes
• Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of project documentation including design, configuration, and installation
• Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management; provide production support including on-call, off-hours and weekend support
