Bankruptcy Attorney (AM Law 100) - Boston, MA

Firm :

A leading AM Law 100 firm with over 500 attorneys across close to 10 offices. This firm specializes in areas like corporate law, litigation, intellectual property, life sciences, private equity, energy, technology, and financial services, serving multinational clients with a focus on innovation and complex problem-solving.

Role :

The Bankruptcy Attorney will work in the firm's Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice group, representing clients in complex bankruptcy proceedings, financial restructurings, and related litigation.

Responsibilities :

• Case Management : Assist in managing bankruptcy cases, including drafting and reviewing legal documents such as petitions, motions, schedules, disclosure statements, and plans of reorganization.
• Legal Research and Analysis : Conduct in-depth research on bankruptcy law, commercial law, and related regulations to support case strategies and provide legal opinions.
• Client Representation : Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations, including debtors, creditors, trustees, or committees in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Document Preparation : Draft and negotiate agreements, including debtor-in-possession financing, cash collateral agreements, and settlement agreements.
• Litigation Support : Assist in bankruptcy-related litigation, such as adversary proceedings, preference actions, and fraudulent transfer claims.
