American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with 2+ years of hospital experience for a midnight shift at a Level III Trauma Center.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a hospital Level III Trauma CenterWork includes radiology procedures in a fixed unit and mobile units within OR, ER, and inpatient departmentsUtilizes Siemens and Carestream technologyEvery other weekend is required; schedule is 9 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, five nights per weekPatient population includes emergency and inpatient cases; portables in the ER environmentCandidates may be required to float to a nearby sister hospitalProcedures involve use of C-arms, portables, and general radiographic imagingPACS and RIS system utilization is expectedResponsibilities include performing radiologic procedures under physician order, utilizing independent judgment and safety practicesDuties include explaining procedures, patient positioning, equipment setup, and administration of contrast media as neededCompliance with department protocols for infection control, radiation protection, and patient care is requiredCompletion of medical record and radiology information system documentation is expectedCOVID-19 vaccination is mandatoryTeam-oriented environment with expectations for professionalism and customer servicePhysical demands include moving equipment and patients over 10 lbs and potential exposure to radiation or contagious patientsNo blocked scheduling permittedOrientation includes completion of required online modules before the start date\n \n Requirements\n
Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required if applicableARRT-R certification required or must be obtained within 6 months if registry eligibleBLS certification from the American Heart Association is requiredMinimum of 2 years recent hospital experience as a Radiologic TechnologistMust have experience with C-arms, portables, and working in an ER environmentHigh school diploma or GED requiredMust complete online modules prior to start and achieve a passing score onsite\n Benefits\n
