Discipline Description

Software Engineers design, develop, and maintain software solutions by engaging in the complete development lifecycle. They collaborate with customers to capture requirements, aligning them with business goals and architectural guidelines. Using various programming languages, they craft secure and efficient code, often incorporating third-party resources to extend functionality. These experts are committed to continual system improvement and adoption of new technologies to meet changing business demands. They also prioritize security, constantly updating systems to address emerging threats. Additionally, Software Engineers specify and evaluate vendor capabilities to provide applications or services, and configure, implement, and maintain software applications. They conduct a wide range of tests and analyses to ensure software meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirements and ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include :

SRNS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of manufacturing experience coupled with technical expertise in managing, implementing, and configuring Manufacturing Execution Systems. This is a critical technical role within the Operational Technology (OT) organization, emphasizing the ability to understand and address manufacturing requirements by leveraging MES to optimize and innovate manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the implementation and configuration of MES systems including elements such as recipes, workflows, equipment management, materials management, document management, and report configuration.
• Manage projects and initiatives to enhance production processes through MES solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify manufacturing requirements and translate them into MES functionalities.
• Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading MES systems to ensure seamless operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation including system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.
• Conduct training sessions and provide support for MES users to ensure effective system utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT / OT, QA, and Engineering, to align MES initiatives with mission goals.
• Integrate MES with other IT / OT systems (ERP, LIMS, MRP, DCS) to enable data flow.
• Analyze MES data and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications

Technical expertise in MES software such as SAP ME, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, DeltaV Syncade, or similar.

Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages, and system integration.

Proven experience managing, implementing, and configuring MES systems.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
