Are you passionate about community impact and fostering diverse stakeholder relationships? Join Johnson & Asberry Communications to lead community engagement efforts across a wide range of infrastructure and development projects, all based in New York City. We’re looking for two people-first, mission-driven Community Construction Liaison’s to assist our growing team as we manage the community engagement and public relations for a variety of high-profile city infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a plan for community involvement and public engagement and provide regular reviews and updates.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the company and local communities affected by construction projects.
• Develop and implement community engagement strategies to facilitate open communication and address community concerns.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and community organizations to coordinate project activities and minimize disruptions to residents and businesses.
• Conduct outreach efforts to inform stakeholders about project timelines, goals, and potential impacts, utilizing various communication channels such as community meetings, newsletters, and social media.
• Represent the company at community board meetings, public hearings, and other relevant forums to provide updates and address inquiries or feedback.
• Serve as a liaison with city agencies, advocating for community interests and ensuring compliance with regulations and permits.
• Monitor project sites to proactively identify and address issues related to safety, cleanliness, and noise mitigation.
• Provide support to project teams by assisting with permit applications, documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve community relations practices and incorporate feedback into future projects.
